Economic and financial crimes are considered among the most dangerous forms of modern crime due to their negative impact on the national economy and public trust in institutions. Algeria has witnessed an increase in such crimes as a result of the development of economic transactions and financial systems. These crimes include money laundering, bribery, tax evasion, and embezzlement, and they are often carried out through complex and organized methods. To combat them, the Algerian legislator has introduced special laws and established supervisory bodies and specialized judicial divisions. Despite these efforts, several challenges remain, including the evolution of criminal methods and the transnational nature of these crimes, which requires stronger investigative tools, greater international cooperation, and enhanced transparency to ensure effective prevention and control.Other
